Ruling lets Dish's DVR service continue.
Dish Network Corp. said an appeals court will allow customers with its digital video recorders to continue using the service while the company challenges a patent ruling won by TiVo Inc.
Dish was ordered to shut down its DVR service after Judge David Folsom ruled June 2 that it continues to infringe a patent owned by TiVo. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit Wednesday said Dish had met the legal standard to get the order put on hold.
