As the title says, today FTABins.NET is celebrating its third birthday of being online. 3 years today (July 4th 2006), the idea of FTABins.NET was born during a session of brainstorming. That same day we had launched Version 1. As some of you might have already noticed, we have a new festive logo which celebrates the Birthday of FTABins.NET. We will keep this logo up for a few days.

Looking back much has changed of course. Going from a simple 5 paged website all the way to a full fledged Forum Community. Although I helped in the sites growth there are others who thanks must be given to. Thanks goes to the entire FTABins Crew including n3xtgen. A thanks goes to the one and only mrjava, who although very few of you know, helped a great deal in the creation of this wonderful place. Unfortunately he has been out of the scene for the past few years but hopefully we will see him back here soon.

A major thanks should also be given to the guys over on our channel on EFNET who also played a hand in starting this great community and without help from those guys, it would not be possible.

In these years so much has happened to this community. Good things and some pretty bad things. We started with just the main purpose of getting users the information they needed but grew into something more complex and more important. A community.

Now with over 380,000 members we are looking forward to the coming years and challenges that lay ahead, who knows what the future holds?

3 years today........
with 380,000 members we all should chip in a buck a piece for using this site, I think that would be plenty to keep it running, and if we all do it every year as long as FTA is working, this site will always be here..... and who can't afford a buck, and if you can't then you shouldn't have FTA, put the money for food on your table.
Maybe we can have say a semi-VIP for a dollar if we get say 80% of 380,000 to donate, but like I said for a buck we should get all to donate.

happy birthday but what will happen to the site !!!!! for those who have paid and for those whose who haven't . when the boxes cant produce new bins and the big guys cant keep up either . lets face it it may take awhile for this all to sort out , if in fact it does where do we stand , when we have paid for a subscription to the site for 3 years

Where are you trying to make a thread and can't? As a supporter, you should be able to make one anywhere....

What you can't speak your mind? Looks like your doing it right now. That's the biggest load of non-sense I've read today, and I've read quiet a few pieces of non-sense, one piece being the other comment you made about once people realize they can't get fixes and what will happen to the site? Last time I checked, 30% of the users are already up and running with IKS while they wait for the proper solution, not sure where you've been.

I think hes referring to making a new thread in the News section here. Umm, last I checked making a post in the News section is limited as its only for site/fta related announcements, not for speaking your mind, you wanna do that, check out the General FTA section, its the perfect place.

First off this thread is going in the wrong direction it was not started for you to start crying there are NO STAND ALONE BINS right now when bins are ready they will be released. Second those with out IKS receivers just have to be patient and if anyone else post something other than Happy B-day or Happy 4th they will be sent to the Readers Club.:mad:

Teddybear....chill dude...you are right....this site is not about IKS only.....it is about all modes of satellite tv....be it files, IKS, or true FTA. No one knows what the future holds for this hobby, business, game....whatever you choose to call it.....and along with the future of that goes the future of this and many sites like it...

This site still does exactly what it was intended to do. It makes information about all of this readily available. And at the moment, IKS is the only solution, and this site provides as much info on it as possible. We have no way of knowing when, or even if new standalone files will be available. We have to wait and see.

I mean honestly dude, it has been what, two weeks since N3 was fully implemented on DN channels? Were you not adequately warned that there would be some downtime before files were put out to combat N3? Really, a little patience and a lot less panic is in order at this time.....

And this is not the thread that you need to be exhibiting your feelings of fear in. It is about FTABins celebrating its third year in existence. If you wish to discuss this further, make a new thread about it in the proper place.

1. You donated, you didn't pay. There is a difference.
2. No where does it say what the site was created for.
3. There are lots of files available, for those who are using the proper equipment. Its not our problem if users are still using a Pansat 2500 from 19 years ago. UPGRADE!
4. Who said there would not be any standalone files? Be patient, obviously if you sit there waiting for them your gunna get upset.

Seems like your entire message is based upon assumptions, lots of them, plus impatience, don't do that to yourself, you will end up with mental problems in a few weeks from now.

If you have a problem with waiting for standalone files, then I suggest you go pay for a sub and don't use FTA anymore.
