David vs. Goliath with reference to the Sherman Anti-Trust Act. It's a pretty good spin especially since EchoStar sells FTA receivers too. Anti-competition slant with lots of Viewtech disclaimers.

With the right jury, it could easily result in a hung jury on both sides of the case or a token damage award of $1500 either way which we have already seen. I would be surprised to see any large awards for either side with this countersuit.

I figure everybody pays their own legal bills and a precedent is set. Then you have to be careful that as a distributor you do not participate in pirating as it creates a conflict of interest which is a whole different case with the smaller businesses.

This is old hat!!!!!!! Those papers were filed over a year ago and if Viewtech had won any sort of decision we would have heard by now. Also, if they had, I don't think the owner of Viewtech would have been indicted!!!!:mad:
