Man Burns Down House Over Action Figures
A 29-year-old man was Yoshifumi Takabe, 29, was arrested for burning down his house after his mother threw away his Gundam action figures, according to various reports. According to a story by The Escapist, factory worker Yoshifumi Takabe, 29, doused his room with kerosene and set it on fire in a suicide attempt. Takabe, who shared the home in Kobe, Japan with his mother, was distraught after learning that she threw out the "valuable" Gundam anime/manga models. His mother was in the house at the time, the story said, but neither of them were hurt. The house, however, burned down to the ground.

Toy Dolls are a really big thing in Japan. One of the Documentary channels on Dork even had a 1 hour show on it. Some of the dolls were even life sized & the guys were banging them.LoL:yes:

If it was the original Gundam, then they were worth big bucks. Been an anime fan since the beginning of organized fandom here more than 30 years ago. Some of the old toys in good condition would be worth thousands of dollars each. I see them going for crazy money all the time on Ebay. You should have put your money into collectibles instead of the bank or stocks. The return was way better....
