cw1000s-update-1.0.0.5.tar.bz2
Here it is. The 1.0.0.5 update is now available. You can install it with your remote assuming you have a network connection.
Exit back to the main screen. (That's the one with Admin, Restart and Shutdown)
Enter the Admin area.
Enter Updates.
Enter Download.
Move to the Check button and press enter.
Move to the file list.
Highlight cw1000s-update-1.0.0.5.tar.bz2 and press the blue button to download it.
Press the blue button when the download is complete.
Press exit.
Now you can install it.
Enter Install.
Highlight local and press enter.
Highlight cw1000s-update-1.0.0.5.tar.bz2 and press the blue button to install.
Restart the system. You will find some things broken until the system is restarted.
If you don't have a network connection on your CW-1000S, you can download the update package from here and use a USB stick to transfer the update to the CW-1000S. The steps are the same except that you would choose external instead of local above.
Unlike the previous updates this does not require you to be at any specific version. This will update any and all versions of released software to 1.0.0.5. There is no need to install 1.0.0.2 ever again.
Here's a list of what's new in this release:
Complex switch configurations. 22Khz and Mini-diseqc support added to the switch setup. (Note: if you place a 2 port switch after a 4 port switch, set the 4 port lnb to switch. Clicking edit then takes you to the 2 port switch where you define LNB type and satellite)
Dish Pro equipment support. Choose LNB type of DP-Circular or DP-Linear depending on your dish setup. (Most of you want Circular)
Static IP addressing now works.
Disconnected network no longer has 60 second timeout with DHCP.
Network DHCP configuration updated.
Resaving network config no longer kills SSH
GUI tweaks to minimize flicker on CRT displays.
Added update messages to allow for failure results and informational messages.
Update add server now can support initial directories.
P2P client connect timeout increased.
Streaming configuration opened for complete 192.168.xxx.xxx subnet
vdr-diag script installed Note: The vdr-diag package has been removed from the update server. It is included with this update. It has also been expanded in this release.
