I thought I would post a quote recently posted by Kenmoresp which I thought most members should read and consider a donation to this site. If you wish to donate click the button below.

DONATE (http://www.ftabins.net/misc.php?do=donate)

c/p from Kenmoresp

Remember to donate to help support the site. Times are lean right now...folks seem to think that just because there are no files coming out for all brands that it does not cost to keep this site running. That however is not the case. Bills for servers and bandwidth still have to be paid.

On average there are over 1000 members online here at any given time. Many, no make that most, of them have never donated to help support this site. Everyone enjoys coming here to hang out with online friends, getting info, asking questions, and getting help when they need it. All of that takes up bandwidth.

There are many who donate on a regular basis and it is much appreciated. However, the bulk of the members don't. This site is not here to make money, it is here to share information. If the members do not choose to donate to help support this site, steps may have to be taken to reduce costs or generate revenue. This could include limiting access to supporting members, limiting time the site is available, making a donation a requirement to access certain areas, or other options.

Right now, everything is readily available to everyone. And it would be great to keep it that way. Everyone for the most part always says how great this site is (and we feel that its truly the best) and how much they enjoy and appreciate the information and comraderie that is found here. We strive to make it the best, so please consider a donation to the site to help keep it functioning and being the best.

end c/p

I thought this message was important to share so please help us continue to offer up the Greatest FTA community on the net and donate today! If you care about us and want to see a fix in the near future, then show us. IKS or whatever comes next, count on us to deliver. Thanks to everyone.

Well I guess you are so right in what you have said. I am, or have been in the past donated, to this site, but have neglected to update b/c of the latest issues with Nav 3. Of course we have the same reoccurring rumors which makes for boring re-reading. But I agree with your post and will renew my donation this week. This is one of my favorite FTA sites, very informative, easy to read and dependable. Too bad a lifetime option wasn't available, as I would jump at that chance. Looking forward to my supporter status again

I have wanted to donate before many times. I went and bought a pre-paid Amex and I couldnt use it on the site. It wanted my address and lots of personal information even though it was a pre-paid credit card, so it was a no go. If they would change the fact of having to enter all the personal information I would donate with a pre-paid card.

I have been a member only for a short while. In that time i've gathered lots of useful knowledge, and ofcourse some not so useful. I do my best to help out those who were once in my boat and don't know there a$$ from a tea pot LOL (altho my knowledge is limited to the units ive tested which at this point in time only fall in the nFusion category). I do aswelldonate on almost a monthly basis. I know it takes alot of hard work from the mods and admins, aswell as support from the many members of the site who gain from this site. Thanks for all your hard work and for running such a brilliant site. I will continue to support the site for as long as I benefit from it =]

i agree when files are out the site is a wreck, and as a supporter it makes me mad to have to wait till the next day to get a download, i have to agree if you can't support then you shouldn't be aloud to have the same privileges as supporters, if they can't support the site then they should not be a member, I have been a supporter since 2006, this site takes money to keep up and going and isn't fair to the loyal supporters to have to support others not willing to make a donation. I feel the donations are more than fair, the cost of a years membership is simply a night out on the town nothing more, and i would say a 30 day trial is more than enough, but even with that people will just keep signing on with a different name, just my thoughts

Consider donating? Consider results! I have donated the last couple of years and will
continue, but hope has a cost, and untill the cost is seen, I'm sorry I will have to wait. There will be more costs when n3 is solved, new box, new dish, new lnb's and new
files....Maybe when its solved there will be more donations...My opinion...

I understand that many people have various views. To get results you do not have to donate as the files will be out after a few days to those who do not donate. I do not donate for results but I do donate for the sake of being a member of a fine forum and to help keep this site running.
I do not feel donating is a duty that is required of me but a chance to help when I can.

So, n3 is making you alittle gun shy about donating. Maybe you just don't want to donate until you are certain there is a future for fta. (can't believe someone actually said that). Anyway, consider this...Think of all the mods/admins that put in countless hours, day after day, helping people and keeping this place in line. I mean, come on...The work and precious time it takes to keep a site like this running alone is worthy of a donation. The fact is n3 is here, its old news. For some of you it should not be the determining factor upon whether or not you are going to make a donation. What about all the help you have gotten or, all of the files you downloaded in the past that enabled you to test every channel d*sh and b*v had to offer...Ya, thats right, you saved a ton of $$$ didnt you. You had your dishes and stb's paid for before you experienced your first ecm. So how about giving some back. After all, most of you know this is the best fta site on the net so why not show a bit of appreciation. And for those of you that are "unsure about the future of fta", get a motor and try your luck at TRUE FTA...And don't forget about iks. (kbox here I come!!!)

Remember donations are not required. Sites like this cost money to run, and every little bit helps...Also, donation or not, you are always welcome, thats just another reason this place is the best!

Thank you ftabins.

Good post, I have one suggestion: perhaps this post should be a sticky in every forum, I can speak for my self only, but it took me 1 week to notice this one and probably most of the members just like me, go right to their forum of choice with out paying too much attention to the other stuff. Any ways, once again good post, every member should read it. It took me 2.5 years to make donation, I just never thought of it before… This site is worth every penny.

Why is there an limit to want to can donate to me a Donation can be $1, $5 to 500.00
this feels like a Requirement to give 10.00 or nothing what if i felt like giving 5 Now and another 5 next week?
Can some fix this?
This would Bring more People to you trust me if some one gives 3.99 or 5.99 or 6.99 instead of Mandatory 10.00

I'm not certain, JXL would know, but I think the reason has to do with high fees.

Need to add my 2 cents. If a Member donates say $5.00 with paypal, site owner is getting about $3.89 after paypal takes their share. If nx3tgen allows members to donate less then $5.00 he is only going to get paypal richer. It defeats the purpose of helping our community.

pay by the month to see if a fix is gonna come out, $10 is not that big of a donation concidering what a monthly subscribtion cost not to mention for this small donation you get way more, back in the day my monthly sub was running in the $90's. With that being said what i was paying for one month covers a year on here, or look at it this way, if you spend a night out on town you can figure on spending $50 - $100 easily for the same cost your entertained with quality programming for a complete year and help keep the site running so we all will be able to continue the bennefits of this great site. These are just my thoughs, nothing personal to anyone, we all do what we can do, we only ask that all members do their part so it is fair to everyone.

Just a heads up i see this post has been running for 3 weeks now and i think it should continue, in these three weeks i have noticed we are making a difference as people are starting to donate, I was always taught power in numbers so lets keep growing strong, and thanks again to our supporters and mods for all the hard work they are putting into bettering our site keep up the good work.
:cool::thmbup:AGREED
ok no input today, hmmm maybe everyone on the site has donated, woo hoo
I don't think so and even if it is so,this site will still need our continous donation to keep it up and running.
:thmbup:to you n all the supporters here. Some folks will always turn a blind eye to thread llike thin one.

Every contribution counts(even if it is not moneytary)
I know folks (personally) who has never posted a single post to help or even motivate someone to initiate the decision to do something meaningful.

I strongly agree and encourage that we do all we can to support and contribute to our community in whatever way we can.Never think that your contribution is too small and will not be appreciated.

:thmbup::clap::yes:I thought I would post a quote recently posted by Kenmoresp which I thought most members should read and consider a donation to this site. If you wish to donate click the button below.

c/p from Kenmoresp

I thought this message was important to share so please help us continue to offer up the Greatest FTA community on the net and donate today! If you care about us and want to see a fix in the near future, then show us. IKS or whatever comes next, count on us to deliver. Thanks to everyone.

Why post anything don't waste your time talking about your personal cost.:thmbdn: Everybody is hurtin in some way but a dollar shouldn't hurt that much...
