This is a "reprint" of an article in the DeKalb County ( Missouri ) Record-Herald written by Charlie Stokes. Mr. Stokes is the Area Agronomy Agent / County Director MSU Extension Service.

"I wanted to give y'all some disturbing information on our wonderful president. I work with the Catch-A-Dream Foundation which provides hunting and fishing trips to children with life-threatening illnesses. This past weekend we had our annual banquet / fundraiser event in Starkville .
"As a part of our program, we had scheduled Sgt. 1st Class Greg Stube, a highly decorated U.S. Army Green Beret and inspirational speaker who was severely injured while deployed overseas and didn't have much of a chance for survival. Greg is stationed at Ft. Bragg and received permission from his commanding officer to come speak at our function.
"Everything was on go until Obama made a policy that NO U.S. SERVICEMAN CAN SPEAK AT ANY FAITH-BASED PUBLIC EVENTS ANYMORE. Needless to say, Greg had to cancel his speaking event with us. Didn't know if anyone else was aware of this new policy.
"Wonder what kind of news we all will receive next. You're just starting to see the Obamanation. Your religion is on the list next."
I don't know about you, but this makes me furious. What a rotten thing to do by the "commander-in-chief". And I'm afraid we ain't seen nothin yet

That's just wrong! The military can visit my children at school and not help the "Catch-A-Dream Foundation"? I
even had a recruiter call my house for my 16 year old daughter and "choose" not to speak to me. What's next-
priorities. I don't know if it's a major conspiracy, but I do know it's wrong

I'm not much on religion but I do think that the boys who have given us so much should be allowed to speak where ever they choose, whenever they choose and we should be damn proud of them!! I support our troops!!:thmbup::thmbup::thmbup:
If that is what the American Government is pushing on us then we had better be ready to fight!!

The operational chain of command runs from the President to the Secretary of Defense, doesn't this mean
that the pres. is over the DOD? Sounds that way to me. But really, does it matter anyways? The fact
is that it happened and nobody can change that now. Max has the right idea.

These boys earned the right to speak to anyone they want to regardless of what government is in office! They paid for it in blood!!
I would like to see the weasels in government pay the same dues!

Well I wear my right wing ideology as a badge of honor so why don't you take your bleeding heart and s............. That being said I thought political discussion wasn't allowed here.
