The provider is setting up for a major ecm that will kill cams once he gets rid of FTA and cemu. The provider will just use a different map inside the timer at will as fix's come out. It looks like they setting up for loop in a week. They don't need AR enabled now either to pull this off, so cards will be done for either way.

The provider has never before did this kind of thing for both D!ish and B*V at the same time. They are sure this will work and I am sorry to be the one to give you this bad news.

FTA and Emulators have no chance to survive and neither do real cams for very long. I hope that I am wrong but I think not. Good Luck.

About a year and half there was a similiar "thing" happens and almost everyone said it was the end of FTA...there was however hope and the firm support of the people and FTA survived!!...If what you are saying is true...FTA will come thru again!!...don't start any panic threads...lets concentrate to find a solution...happy holidays.

True FTA will never go away, you'll just have to aim your dish elsewhere and learn a few foriegn languages. As for other "free" Sat. TV, well, just be thankful for what you've already had.

nfusion needs an internet connection to work(and trace) and is a file sharing situation(the guy with the legit bin gets busted) so yes they're working but it's really not the answer.

Doesn't really help. It hides your real IP on the key server, but the traffic can still be logged by your ISP or anyone on the backbone (and feds do have access to that, thanks to AT&T and the like).

What you'd need is to tunnel the box's traffic over TOR or something similar -- an anonymous and encrypted proxy. But that's a lot of trouble to setup for the little benefit this gives... (and even then, there's always a few theories about the feds owning some of the tor proxies, so who knows)

I'll just stick with a box that gets fixes decently fast (VS) and live with the occasional downtime.

OK.... here's my take.... every time a zap comes out everyone panics and claims this to be the end of FTA...... I doubt it and here's why....

Viewsat, Coolsat, Sonicview..... all of the manufacturers have com eout with many new models over the past few months..... as someone who works in manufacturing i know that this involves R&D, tooling and testing and labour..... none of which are cheap....

I highly doubt that the market for legitimate FTA is that high... so to make such a large cash investment would be crazy if you didn't have 100% faith in your coders...... We know that echostar has taken Viewsat to court..... why bother if you know that you are going to kill their business anyways?......

I will sit back... throw in my keys..... watch TV... have a few beer and wait for the coders to come out with th enew fix.... which I am sure will be soon.....

I am going to go ahead and assume that you have not been in this hobby for a long time. when dynamic code was introduced by dave with the H card they hit a LOT of cards. it was referred to as black sunday. I continued to go on and even fixed some cards that did get hit by black sunday. the game has come a long way since then, but on both sides of the fence.
to say that all is lost and that the end is near is irrationally pessimistic. Have a beer and relax man ;)

It will be out and when it comes everyone will know about it. Maybe we should start a email list and everyone can register and you will get a email the moment the new bin files arrive. This would cut down on traffic and would ease the pressure of the site.

actually my friend what u can do is go to the files section for ur receiver and then in that forum at the top under "forum tools" u'll see an option "subscribe to this forum". click on that and subscribe. once a new thread for that forum (files section for ur receiver) is made, u'll get an email notifying u that there has been a new thread in that files section which means there is a thread created for a new bin. its pretty convenient i have done it in the past and itz problem free. u don have to keep checkin like every couple of hours.

However, if the manufacturers were already in the process of building and prepping for a release date when they were informed of echostars developments, one might believe they would rush a release for the latest and greatest equipment knowing that the end is near to cash in on the last push to pay for all that r&d.

Well somehow I thanks Charley because didn't took all channels Off. Lol just the PPV PORN Cinemax Starz HBO etc. But well We still have Locals and some others channels that are from cable. But we still have PPV sports XD. And from channels 291 from Dish we have some Showtime and Flix which are movie channel. Also some Channels from PPV sports have some soft porn, Not HARDCORE.

But in the other Hand i hate him/they/it Because i don't have the Other movie channels and the hardcore porn ^.^.

FTA will only die if members don't stick together. This is a modern time Robin hood struggle so we 've got to win. Solution: Let's start a fund raising campaign for both the coders and FTA websites. Let's show them our muscles.
