I did a quick news search in Yahoo ... the only thing I could find was that an arrest warrant has recently been issued for singer R. Kelly (arguably a 'big wig') for 'failure to appear' (FTA). :read:

It is with much regret that we must inform the public that Steve Rodgers (Tomico, tomico satellites, tomico-industries, etc) has been jailed over the Christmas holidays in a Canadian prison at the request of E*hostar and Bell Canada. Rodgers was raided by E*hostar and Bell a while back and has been involved in a lengthy court battle with D*sh ever since. D*sh and JJ Gee used illegal tactics to obtain an Anton Piller against Rodgers in Barrie, Ontario. Rodgers was accused of selling pirate devices by Nagra and was asked to rat out the Armulator coders and others, but Rodgers refused and denied the charges. In response, the Ontario Judge has thrown him in jail for 4 months. In addition, JJ Gee and D*sh were requesting $181,000 USD per month in legal fees and millions more in damages from Rodgers. Rodgers couldn't pay, and refused to cooperate with these corporate bullies. He is now in jail, away from his friends and family this holiday season. Shame on these corporate gluttons. Shame on JJ Gee. Is this how you get your jollies? Is this how you show your manhood? Shame on Charlie Ergen - you are truly the Grinch who stole this Christmas of 2007. Isn't $10 billion enough for you? You jail people over Christmas for some crumbs? Ill health, hunger and death for you and your family in 2008.

Come on guys.. Arrested over the holidays and is now in jail for 4 months, where are we living, the far east??? What happened to the Canadian judicial system? As flawed and weak as it is, you dont just go to jail.... there is usally some sort of trial, takes a bit of time.... No TV is starting to cause paranoia.

Imagine if they actually arrested and prosecuted every single user, their legal fees would bankrupt them. :o

If you, or anyone is ever arrested for ANYTHING just keep your mouth shut. Most people dig their own grave by trying to co-operate with the police etc. who will take notes on your `confession` to use against you.

Tomorrow is the big day , I hope that the courts see beyond the lies the blg has put forth and I don't go to jail. Normally I would post this but I think the world should see that d*shnetwork is not really going after damages with me , they are torturing me and my family and they cannot denie it at all.

They have told the courts many times I own nothing and they will get no money from me So why do we keep going through this all??? Why because they want me to bow to them and work for them, they said all this will go away if i work for them. I have said no many times , nothing they can do will ever make me work for them . So I hope everyone see's this and the courts see it to . Why spend more and more money when you can't get it back??

This whole thing was a bout sueing me for damages so if I caused you $20 million and you can't get it back why spend another 5 million terrozing me and my family??? You spent $181k on my anton-piller challenge now You sent me the costs for the contempt and you spent $705,400 . Almost a million again plus what you spent to investigate and do the case it self what are you at $2 million dollars??? I'm glad you show the world and hopefully the courts now that this is not have anything to do with damages and has never been. The thing is I was the only one to fight and so you got to do what ever it takes to make me go insane or work for them. Well guys it will be alot easyier to have me go insane then to think I will ever work for you. I must say good move guys you know you can't go to trial with me because I would win and you know it . So make the costs so high that I can't continue good job. I bet you now sit there and say we finally beat this kid . The sad thing is you are a huge firm and the providers have huge pockets and you guys are afraid to go to trial against me thats sad, very sad.

I have seen the evidence and read the transcripts entered into evidence by NagraStar.....I always thought that a Person is Innocent until proven guilty...Nagrastar Proved Nothing with the evidence they presented to the courts....It was all heresay and most of the evidence was obtained illegally by JJ Gee and his Cohorts While they passed themselves off as Private Investigators,which they were not licensed as....JJ Gee collected and edited much of the evidence ,yet the judge declared it as admiissable and allowed it into evidence....WHY would a Judge allow this evidence to be allowed???Because the Judge and JJ Gee and NagraStar are all Good friends.....Isn't that NICE.....The AP was issued on totally circumstantial Evidence...The AP should NEVER have been issued in the first place....This is a Blow to the credibility of the Justice System in Canada in my Opinion......I would like to see the Media get a hold of Steve's Story and ask the questions as to how a Canadian citizen living in Canada could be Brutalized by the Courts that received the sentencing Reccomendations from NagraStar...WHO is running the Justice system in Canada????????Obviously not the People.............JMHO..................N........ .............

not sure if this is true or false, but I have never heard of echo or any other company being able to raid anything. Only the police can raid a business. or maybe I am reading this post wrong. It just sounds pretty fishie to me. true fta is legal no one here is doing anything illegal that I know of. If watching tv is illegal then God help us next comes, we have to pay for the air we breath, oh maybe they have figured a way to do that. But keep there waves off my property. Maybe I should bring a law suit against them for letting the waves on my property you think??

The companies said that multiple businesses were targeted in this round of raids and a number of unauthorized devices used to "circumvent the security of encrypted satellite signals, as well as sales and customer records" were seized.

According to EchoStar, the following companies, individuals and websites were served with the seizure orders: tomico-satellites.com, tomicoind.com, Tomico industries, tomicoreviews.com, electronics-elite.com, sales-dynamics-firm.com, dsswholesaledirect.com, EZDish.com, EZ123DISH.com, EZsatellite.tv, greendish.com, scardz.com as well as Steve Rodgers, Troy Megill, Sarkar Azmi and Wes Hadley.

Together the companies said they would continue to fight those who try to compromise their security systems by illegally intercepting the satellite signal being provided to legitimate, paying customers.
