This latest ecm is really nasty

Just passing on a little info on how long a wait we all may be in for this latest ecm is really nasty. Well, if timing one map call was not bad enough, the latest Dish MECM requires emulators to time map calls 0x02, 0x07, 0x3B, 0x1C, 0x29 and 0x0B. Map 0x3B is the tough one - similar to Map 0x57 timing in early January which wreaked havoc on the FTA community. The others are just there to complicate matters. Brute force fixes are impossible because they loop through four times instead of just once as they did with the Map 0x57. Coders are already musing that this is the hardest hurdle they have faced thus far. It seems for the moment coders have their backs to the wall. Expect B** to implement this new code within 24hrs. Expect major down time across N. America on all emulator platforms.
The good news is that 5 out of the 6 timer is figured out. now the bad news is the 6th timer on map-3b is the toughest one seen as tough as the map-57 and this is what has coders stuck for now. they may eventualy get this one and a fix but it looks like this time it might be a lengthy wait. Right now generaly it does not look good but keeping fingers crossed and hopefuly the coders prevail again and we see fixes. This was a ace card that DN hidden and got coders by surprised. By the way the word is that some recivers will not make it since it takes a good processing power to run the 6 timers. Also it is said that charlie can increase to 10 timers and if that happen then non of the recivers and emulators have the processing power to run it so FTAs will be in real troubles. So its aheadsup for possible bad bumpy road ahead.
The only sign that ftas will be up soon is when you see DVB emunation goes back up. So until then there would be no fixes because it is belived fta fixes are based on emunation and as in the past after emunation dvb was up we saw fixes afterward. this ecm was a bad ass one and it took all ftas and even non ftas down. Who could have thought they could do 6 timers running simutaniously cycling through 5 times each. this 0X3B timer is the one that needs tables to be figured out and once it is hopefuly, then the fixes should come soon afterward,3b timer was the kick in the nuts that the providers were hiding till the last minute. This even has plastic testers worried as their blockers passed these unexpected maps and now their cards are an easy kill should the providers choose to do so. Due to the fact that there is an unknown timer or map function, that kinda discredits the "full emulation running on a pc" theory imo. We shall see..

Good info. I was thinking of buying a new receiver. From what has been happening I will hold off. Processor speed will be a factor I am sure. Having a receiver hooked up to the internet is not possible for me so heres hoping the coders figure it out, which I am sure they will, considering their fantastic work to date.

Nice info mate, was wondering what was taking so long.

The word I get is that anything charlie can do on their current cards and receivers can be done with a bin, it will just take the coders awhile to figure it out.

No Problem Guys. Love to share info. I am really happy that sonicview has his files and are working so viewsat should follow them and the others will too. I really appreciate what coders do for us and it is a really hard job to be coder. Dn gave us an easy last ecm but they had plan for a big surprise for coders. Good luck Coders!!

There is nothing they can do to defeat the coders.... th eprocessors in their equipment are no better than those in ours...... if they go to ten timers thenm their equipment will have issues..... FTA will live forever or until th eproviders fork out the coin to change every subs receiver out... not going to happen

thats right i had read this also somewhere else acouple days ago then conax came with a patch hours later and now others came with there fix ,,,

The last card change cost them millions... And we're back up running well we were ... Just need the new bin and we'll all be watching instead of posting

When I first read what ali522 said I felt a little worried, since I just bought a cw800, but I don't know. I think everyone has a point cnx is up as well as Sv and a few others, but I remember someone saying something about 4 loop throughs not being possible to do on FTA. I don't thing the cnx's and SV's are that much faster, are they? I think it's an interesting point ali pointed out about the full emu, how did that get past them, unless the full emu is really shared amonst the coders, maybe only one group has it or somthing. I don't know. I know all the coders are doing thier best and we'll soon have our fixes. Hopefully this is all DN has for a while.

It's been said a thousand times and nothing will change this fact: Unless they do a card swap (which won't happen any time soon) we will always be able to get new bins for our systems. NO IF'S AND'S OR BUT'S. Sometimes it may take a couple of days, but it WILL happen. You just need to be patient.

There are a few (a lot?) of people who post here, that will never believe that, but those are the ones that can't string a sentence together in their posts, or go into a thread that says "be patient, the fix will be out soon" and in the very next post say "Ok. So is there a fix for my receiver yet???"

I don't mean to be harsh, but it's awful to come in here to see if there's any new posts, and all I see is people begging for bins that aren't out yet, and would be posted if they were.. or people telling us that FTA is done forever after every single ECM.

If this is all too much for you go buy a sub and then you won't have to worry about the stress, or wondering when DN or BEV are gonna shut us down for good.

We get this kind of scare on every ECM. Providers will only be able to totally stop us if they do a card swap anr/or swap out every reciever. This is y u have a backup or at least 2 kinds of fta. PCI DVB card is cheap backup and is usually up again quick, cant beat the nfusion though at the moment.

Viewsat is up now. A lot of other boxes are up at this time. Emunation was up two days ago. If you have an unsupported box, like Neusat, then you probably wont be coming up any time soon.

Nfusion AND NeoSat ipro2k is the way to go ATM! I never went down either with my neosat (BUT only something like 30% of the BEV channels work with IKS... not like it matters, since DN is better anyway :))

A lot of those people are probably monitering this web site for DN and just want to scare people
