Hello and welcome to ftabins. I would take kndtrpts advice on the recievers your looking at. It depends on what your also looking to do with recievers. Keep in mind you'll want a reciever with great support. Check out viewsat revievers like mention.

hard to say which receivers, everyone has their own opinion and its what we are used too...check out www.ratemyfta.com hope that helps....

WOW so many responses that fast...I must say you guys rock!!!....my biggest thing is quality and support for the Receiver. I know its not a HD reciever but i want something as good as HD quality coming out of my LCD.

I looked at Viewsat but couple people told me to stay away..i dont really want to spend that much on a receiver. My main concern is quality and support. Also the GUI is easy to manuver. My bro has the SV1000 PVR and the GUI is not bad at all on that receiver.

There just too many brands out in the market and its hard to determine which one works well.

the sv 4000 has a beautiful picture on my samsung hd good enough for me not to miss the few true hd channels i had

I have the 6100. The picture quality is good and it's easy to use and load keys. In the beginning I had problems with support and would wait a while to get new keys. However in the last little while the support seems good getting the keys. The only one issue I have and I'm not sure if other systems have this problem. But sometimes when I get new keys it freezes every five to fifteen minutes for about a minute each time. That can be a bit frustrating but it’s only happened to me a few times with new keys. But most of the time when I get keys, they work fine till it goes down. And for the price of the 6100 I can't complain.
