There is no HD channels on Echostar 6 at 72.7..(except tp16) All of the channels are MPEG4, Nag3. Echostar 6 channels are a combination of 110, 119, including PPV's and Radio. Echostar 3 at 61.5 also has many channels switched to Turbo, and Nag3.
In other words, all channels will be switched to MPEG4, ALL CHANNELS in the DN network. ALL CHANNELS.
That means the ALL FTA receivers incapable of MPEG4, (Turbo), will have no signal. The purpose of MPEG4 is for better compression allowing more channels per transponder.
Also, Nag3 is here.
This is a no-brainer. We have no doubts that the Korean coders are incapable of copying a fix for Nag3 based on their past history of dirty fixes.
Soon, all boxes will be rendered useless.
All STB's are overpriced now considering the future.
I would not hold my breath waiting for a new box to surface, and there has to be new boxes for the Koreans to make money. Koreans have never cracked any coding. In fact, no encryption has ever been cracked. With some aid in the form of source code leaks is the crack.

I would really like to know where you get all that great insight. If you don't think n3 will be hacked, then great for you. I say it will be hacked by some little korean coder. Well they don't have to be korean. My point is; you may or may not be right, but what is the point of trying to push your opinoin as fact? As noted TP 13, not 16, my error. TP13, is HD, all four channels, in MPEG4/Nag3. All channels are MPEG4 and Nag3. Go there and look for yourself. Got a motor dish, got a SkyWalker, or even test the HD9000 VS with the overpriced module, Turbo, see what comes up.
But pray to the Koreans, pay up for dirty fixes and promises. Fact is, there is no fix for Nag3. Most current STB's are not capable of MPEG4 Turbo and cannot be retrofitted.
No complaints, it was a fine ride.

Not yet. From what we gather, it is a gradual transition. Many new DN sats are in place. There is the Eastern Arc sats, EchoStar 4, all MPEG4/Nag3, no hack, nil. This sat, albeit designated Eastern Arc has good signal in the West also. Part of the transition is for HD units, irds capable of MPEG4/Turbo. Nag 3 the encryption has little to do with the ird's per se, or for that matter the FTA STB's.
Every week, DN relocated hundreds of channes on the DN fleet. Look at EchoStar 10/110, Turbo HD's, and EchoStar 5, EchoStar 1,2, EchoStar 3, Anik F3. Those sats, have multiple encryption on some channels and are Turbo enabled.

The question is not if, but when all DN will change over, and that will be in the next couple months.
Korean hacks, or anyone for Nimiqs in Nag3. Hey, Nimiqs are not Turbo/MPEG4, remain at MPEG2 but Nag3.
Koreans copy-cat coders waiting for DN to go totally black before releasing a fix. Yea, sure.

These opinions are based on what Cruelio/sweeps advised via the EtherMan.

When there are a lot of money at stake, I would say N3 will be cracked. Otherwise STB manufacturers would not announce the release of new models or the plan to start manufacturing new STB boxes. Therefore, I do not worry and I patiently wait to see who comes on top. This is very interesting to watch! I wouldn't be surprised if anyone is having a pool going on.:clap:

EchoStar4 is DishMexico, considered to be part of the DN Eastern arc but not implemented as such. Tested with STB's that id the correct provider, and TSReader which looks at the various data streams. This is not hearsay.

On some DN sats, Nag 3 has been implemented with a test free access channel, ie, HDTHR. It is Nag3, Free Access.

Like LormaD, once said. FreeTVer's will only believe what they are told in the positive, wait.

In my opinion, Nag3 will be hacked eventually, at the end of its usefulness.

nope i own both nuvenios (sd and hd). if they did move too all mpeg4 i would be covered. they wont anytime soon. and as stated above we know eastern is all mpeg4 and nag3 we know this but you're making it seem like when eastern arc is complete that they turn off 110, 119 and 129 which is not the case. unless they plan to go to everyones house and realign their dish. plus not all receivers are mpeg4 capable. eastern arc is also only offered to new eastern subs in cities that have local channels in 61.5. again this is old information
