Does anyone know how long it took for the N2 conversion for DN offhand??? Just a non-specific question...

With DTV it was about 3-6 months after the first new card was swapped, and until the last subscriber was given his final opportunity to activate the new card...but once the final swap and nagra 3 is activated, its a 2 week process to eliminate the old nagra 2 and implement the new nagra 3 to all channels..its done by channel type...locals, regular, premiums, PPV's, etc.

In reality it was about 6 weeks after the shift to N2 that channels started opening up. It just took them 6 months to admit it.

Yup, Plastic was up and running after 4 weeks and FTA (Viewsat) was running after 5-6 weeks.

Not to start a flame war, BUT the 1st thing to be up was plastic, and emu, and probably will be again

yes yo're right plastic first and then FTA'S , and I think is gonna be hack like N2 is nothing diferent to do for the coders all we need is the total black out so they can work on it ........

Agreed, plastic was up first. Was it those green cards for the receivers?? :confused:
