Just a felling I have but I feel like the next ecm might come on 12/14/08 around 4:00 p.m. C.T. My reason is the last two ecm events came on the same days as the last two major ppv events around that time...

maybe the last two ecm's had nothing at all to do with ppv but perhaps just because its a weekend and you and your wife are trying to relax with the kids watching tv.
now the kids start to whine and cry which fires up the wife and next thing you know your in future shop buying a ird and subbing.
really its total speculation :)
but if i was trying to ecm to mess up a ppv i wouldnt send out the hit untill the fighters were climbing in the ring so no time to fix.
again guesses like this mean squat in reality, we know when they drop the bomb.

I think you are over thinking the ECM timing. ECM's can be dangerous for the providers, in the past ECM's have knocked out their own subs and they were forced to reverse the ECM to get the subs back up and running. The absolute worse time for them to send an ECM is before a large PPV event because they do not want to knock out the subs from seeing the event. They need time to ensure that they could reverse the ECM if it does not go as planned. Just my thoughts, but it is not an exact science as history has shown us.

i agree jammer somewhat, but ive had my tv go out part way through events over the years also.
seems hit and miss when they send and why.
hey id send it out every saturday morning at 7:30-8:00 am while the parents are trying to sleep and the kids are happily watching toons.

The PPV events are big ticket $$$$ for the provider. Could have something to do with the ECM - OR maybe not. It's hard to tell.
