I didn't even have to do that.....I was just changing channels and saw that I was getting ones I wasn't getting earlier so I surfed and saw I wqs getting all the rest.....I have mine alphabetical not numerical.

Its only temporary, theyll most likely fix the rev and bring it back tomorrow or the day after however theyll have to make it easier to crack because it was incompatible with alot of legit receivers so when it is back the fix will come sooner than expected previously.

Not likely with the current technology. However, if all legit receivers go to MPEG4, then it's a whole new ballgame. DTV uses basically a private algorithm that DN nor BEV can integrate (easily or inexpensively) with the current set of receivers they currently support. I may be completely wrong, but that's what I've gathered over the past two years since I started "testing."

i c... well, the reason i ask is that i either read or someone had told me that dish was supposed to be changing something and that it would be something soon that would stop "testers" from getting anything anymore... maybe it had to do with the MPEG4 thing?

Rumor has it that the rev update was affecting legal bev subs. It was effecting the older recievers, therefore bev pulled the rev update from the stream. It did effect my subbed 2700 (freezing and black screen with just audio) but my subbed 3100 ran fine. Called Bev to complain and the custermer service rep said they were aware of the problem and that it was on there end, and that they were working on the problem. This was yesturday around 9am.

Take this for what this is...just a rumor/speculation...this did not effect my friends and families sub's but they all have the 4100's and up.....

They are likely just tweaking their hit. It was done before....they also have the Trial and Error problem as we do. Once they got it tweaked where their legit subs won't get hit, we will be back in the dark.....maybe for long, maybe not.

One thing we have over the DTV hit from way back is that out Emu team already has a fix out which is working great and flawlessly. DTV doesn't have anything yet. With emu, it is fairly easy to get a full dump and lay the path for other testing devices such as FTA, Plastic and others. Atmega and all rom 2, 3, 10 and 11 may be out completly but FTA still have a long life ahead IMHO

It affected my sub'd 2700 big time! Just black screen with audio. My sub'd 3100 ran fine. I even waited on hold for over an hour to complain to Bev. I ended up getting 3 free PPV movies....YA!!! The CSR lady told me that the problem was indeed on there end and would be corrected soon. All in All my 2700 sub is running fine again as of yesturday (late afternoon).

The whole reason for me posting this was so that people would go read the article and see what they are talking about.. NO that is not a KEY.. it is a stream code change...

I am not familiar with how that coding works..BUT i was hoping someone would and would reply as to HOW or WHAT it might do..

as you can see in the past couple of days many are saying cards are running and some other types of carded systems...

i just read on another site that nfusion just released a cardless fix for the bev problem i dont know if its true because i dont have one but if it is true they have just opened the door and many will follow their lead and to the coders where ever you are thankyou all for the support you have given all recievers over the years just didint want you guys and gals to think that we all take you for granted we appreciate your hard work so i will speak for all testers everywhere when i say THANK YOU ALL and keep up the good fight

The so-called fix is for Atmega and EMU cards only (for watching TV on a PC). It is a computer-based "fix" and does not apply to set top boxes, especially cardless receivers. Moreover, the fix may be temporary as full implementation of the new ECM hasn't been done yet (most Bev channels are still in the clear except for PPV and porn). It is still being tweaked and fine tuned and I expect a doozie when DN starts their implementation. Will have to wait and see when I get back from vacation. Patience will be the key to weathering whatever comes down the pike.

you have to wait for your receivers file to be upgraded and wait patiently for it. You can keep checking fta recievers-files only. hope this will help.

everyone calm down. not all boxes have fixes. the boxes I know of are nfusion,tessat,bluejay and ipro1k. there may be more but i do not which ones.if unsure about your box, check the file section.

Loaded the fix for CW600P and B3V works great except I only get about 2 hrs of EPG. Can anyone tell me if I can do something to extend the EPG to a longer time frame. If I am in the wrong forum to ask, please steer me to the right place. Thanks
