WILMINGTON -- Police say at least five people have been found dead inside a home in Wilmington, possibly a mother and four children.
Police responded to reports of a shooting around 8:25 a.m. at a home in the 1000 block of McFarland Avenue, said LAPD Officer Ana Aguirre.
That's where they found the victims inside a two-story home, Aguirre said.
It's unclear who made the initial call and made the grim discovery.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department was also on scene.
Aguirre said there could be more victims because the home has not yet been fully searched.
The streets have been shut down in the area while the investigation continues.
Police are not actively seeking a suspect, Aguirre said.
