AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - An Austin judge has ordered the Travis County Medical Examiner's office to maintain the body of a dead man in order for his sperm to be collected.

The order grants the wish of Marissa Evans for a chance to have a grandchild.

Her 21-year-old son -- Nikolas Evans -- died Sunday at University Medical Center at Brackenridge after being punched and falling during a March 27 assault on an Austin street.

Today's order from Travis County Probate Judge Guy Herman also directed medical examiner officials to provide access so an expert can take the specimen.

The Austin American-Statesman reports Herman issued the orders after an emergency hearing at the request of Marissa Evans.

She told the newspaper that her son wanted to have three sons and had chosen their names: Hunter, Tod and Van.

wow. i would think that after death the process of getting sperm is a little bit less pleasant for the donor than the way when people are alive. probably involves scalpels and unpleasantness.

Whats this? Now we are allowed to die and still have kids?

i cant see this as being good for a child.
its bad enough when a parent dies after a child id born but to choose to put a kid through it is in my opinion cruel.
i would say the dead mans mother should get a life and if she wants another child go out and adopt a parentless kid.

The mother of the deceased is living in fear for her life until she can get her will changed. She has locked up her sons will in probate and can do so for a couple of years. The only person who will allow the sperm to be injected into them is the small town junkie hermaphodite. Upon finding out "he/she"it" is carrying her exboyfriend/husbands baby, a plot thinkins for murder.

This is a mother's marketing tactic. I would bet a chunk of change on her looking to benefit financially from this rather than thinking of everyone else's best interest.

Next, after the delivery of the baby, they will work out a way that his estate will pay child support!

Lets just hope that his sperm count decreased drastically when he died. That way noone really needs to worry about the final outcome. or outcum.
