freeHD Canada, is bell TV , it has the exact same specs just a different name , like rogers & Fido.

There will be some strings attached to the free stuff like shareware Kinda.

You will get your locals free only, have to buy equipment from them $300 price range, plus have installations done by them $100. As for the equipment they are leaning toward the motorola boxes that Shaw Direct (Star Choice) is using and Digicipher 2. I have been in contact with them as i am an installation Company that used to work as a contractor for Bell TV, have been put on there list as an national install company for the southeastern ontario region, when they are ready to launch the service.

well .. although .. i feel this a step towards the end of broadcast TV, if when it becomes available, i will comply and get there fancy dish/Receiver... for there free channels only ... my 40FT antinina will remain up though .. to receive my American locals because you know they wont be offered in there "Free" package...

I think we would be better off to encourage the upgrade of current transmission to ASTC to promote.. long term free tv .. ...

you know in year 2 or 3 there are going to be account maintenance fees or something else of that nature :S ..
