RCMP defend Taser use on girl, 16

I have to go with Allister9 on this one. Tasering is good for a non-lethal response to a violent person, but it has had tragic results too often. It seems pepper spray would have served them better in this situation. The safety of the device and the training of the officers seems to be in question in some instances.

anyone who has trouble controling a drunk should get another job... especially when the drunk is in the presence of 3 or 4 professional drunk controllers..... theses so called paid professionals are shameless ...... and anybody who thinks a drunk can have 3 to 4 times the strength of a normal person has never had to handle them... I can only suggest that the paid professionals must of never before come accross a drunk teenage girl..... therefor such as a dog ...shoud be allowed their first bite..... great training eh..

you do kind of miss the point that while anyone of the cops could give the girl a beat down they are at a disadvantage since while they want to control her without doing damage where she would not be similarly constrained

ps remember Manitoba breeds some pretty big girls (sixteen don't mean much if the girls built like a linebacker)

it is called "training" being able to assess the situation and deal with it, with a minimum of force.......16 yr old girl........yup.. tough guys..heroes..

She was already in custody in a jail cell.

All the officers had to do was walk out of the room and lock the door behind them.

----No need for any force whatsoever.

I hope her lawyer is a good one and sues the ass off these clowns that call themselves "Trained RCMP" and let us hope they are relieved of their duties as well.------All 4 of them don't deserve their jobs.

yep. .. walking out of the room is definitely the way tjo go, the suggestion that she needs to be constrained so she wouldnt hurt herself is a no brainer..... anything is possible but highly unlikely..... not just bad training..... the wrong people being picked for a job by the wrong people.....

no i'm not saying all Manitoba girls are fat (though last time i was in Winnipeg it look like some strange mutation had all the females with two butts one for each cheek) i am say that i've seen more than a few girls lumbering around at well past the 250 mark
